I've broken down each of the teams in the AL in some detail this offseason, and I think I'd have to take the Red Sox over any other team in the AL right now. In the NL it's tough with the Dodgers and Cubs atop that list, but other than the Rangers and Indians -- both solid, but flawed teams -- I think Boston is tops in the AL.
Thoughts?

Agreed on Boston. That rotation of Sale, Porcello, Price, Wright and Pomeranz is going to be tough to beat. The offense, while still tremendously deep will have to fill the Ortiz void but honestly they could shut anyone down with that top 3 in a playoff series. My only worry is health, but I think they have enough prospects left in the tank that they can bring some up to fill spots if needed. Definitely tops in the AL

I really like Eduardo Rodriguez too if Pomeranz doesn't pan out.

Agreed, he is a great option to have if anyone in the rotation gets hurt and/or underachieves. One of the big question marks obviously is Pablo Sandoval and how he will respond now that the third base job is his, but I think they will have enough pitching to offset any loss in offense from last year.

I still am not sure if Mitch Moreland was the right move for this team.
