I wasn't either. Great news Jon! We have a girl coming in May. Harper Elizabeth. (but keep it a secret) Congrats! I also just wanted to say it looks like you're working really hard to get these boards going and it's amazing so far.

I'm really trying. We were over 10,000 page views when I looked earlier today!

I feel that way sometimes as well Goreds, I got my degree in finance because I wanted a good paying job. The only thing I would say is to not settle on where your are. I have switched jobs 4 times in the past two years, upping my pay by 30k and finding something I am actually passionate about. That being said, I still think about writing a novel nearly every day. I appreciate the words. I am not usually ambitious about career changes, etc. because I tend to sweat at change, but this has at least got me thinking that I need to consider more options. It is not as if I didn't "know" that, but to hear someone say it sometimes is helpful.

PSD is absolute garbage right now. I had an account right after Netsports shut down, and wasn't impressed. It is funny, I tried logging in about a month ago because I missed this and I wasn't able to get in.

New member here. How many members did 1.0 have? It varied, there were thousands signed up, but at least a few dozen somewhat regular members. It started to die off near the end in 2008ish, but 2004-2007 it was great. Lots of discussion but it was small enough everyone felt like they were part of the community.

Yeah I would say at the best there were 100 really solid regulars and about 1,000 people who filtered in.

It helped owning the domain name of "baseball.com". I imagine that's how 99% of the people found the site. I think the Netsports page for basketball was "slamdunk.com". Not quite as good as the baseball one.

Word of mouth for now. I'll ramp it up as I see fit.
